Sad news comes from Hollywood today as Stan Winston has passed way. Stan's company build and designed all animatronic dinosaurs for the Jurassic Park movies and worked on several others including Terminator, Alien and A.I.

Stan suffered for seven years with multiple myeloma (a type of cancer of plasma cells). A spokeswoman reported that "Stan died peacefully at home surrounded by family."

Our thoughts go to his family and friends.

Universal Orlando has announced the addition of eight new Jurassic Park themed kid suites at the Royal Pacific Resort. The kids get an entirely separate bedroom apart from Mom and Dad, complete with custom JP murals, artwork from the movies, JP themed beds and a 32 inch flat screen with a DVD player.

JPToys.com member "JPobsessed" stumbled upon an interview with (freelance) Hasbro designer Tim Bradley on a Transformers toys website.

Tim did design work for the Chaos Effect line (which started of as an animated series) and pre-design for Jurassic Park 4 in 2004.

SideShow has just revealed its first Jurassic Park diorama. The collectible is called 'When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth' - T-Rex VS Velociraptors and recreates no less then the final scene of the Jurassic Park movie.

The diorama is now available for pre-sale for $249 and will be shipped out around the third quarter of 2008.
